The plan's execution ended up being pretty simple, but the preparation was elaborate.

The Flyswatter and the Fuzzball are like the paradox sinks on a time machine, they just don't have a time machine attached to them. That means most of the paradox will transfer into them, filling their reservoirs.

The problem is, even with a smaller paradox, there's no way to really anticipate the amount of paradox caused by any interaction we do with the past, so there's the possibility we might have to do it more than once, but then there's the opposite possibility…



… the one where we do too much in one go and it vents through all of our heads and kills us.

Eight, our sacrificial victim for this particular experiment, ended up on a lot of anti-seizure medication as a precaution.
